Scissor Sisters are back! Two years without them and it is as though they were never gone. Seems like the band had such a good time over in the UK first time round with one of the best selling albums of 2004 they want us to help them do it all over again. Well I for one think they deserve our help.

Scissor Sisters’ new sound is here in the form of the dance floor defying I don’t feel like dancing, set to contradict its title, off of their second album Ta dah. Though the song sounds like a party track the lyrics suggest otherwise, telling a tale of a person who would rather not go out and party the night away, but instead stay home for a quiet night alone. These juxtaposing images confuse their listeners’ emotions; should the dance floor be still or stand up and dance in a unity of guilty pleasure; something the music scene has seen a lot of over the years.

This US band, named after a lesbian sex possession, collaborated with the infamous Elton John on this song. The band has often been compared to their friend and idol so what a treat to see him credited for song writing and piano on this amazing dance track.
This song has already reached number 1 in the UK Download Chart, so things are looking positive for the group and lets face it their audience ranges through everyone, I bet even your mum will like this song. But as good as this song is they have yet to find a song to compete with Filthy / Gorgeous off the first album.

I just can’t wait for the album, which is out on 18th September.
