Despite being together since 1985 and loosing a total three band members. The Happy Mondays are going strong and ‘Uncle Dysfunktional’ is proof of that. Although having a freaky cover this album completely blows you with its internal musical presentation.

Starting with ‘Jellybean’ and ending with ‘Weather’ the album exhibits a wide range of random topics of songs, in the space of 11 tracks. As if probably implied the album is outstanding. There is no doubting that. Even some of their most die-hard fans may be surprised by the outcome.

It’s an angry, fiery jumble of very different songs but what make them so damn alike are the Happy Mondays themselves. They add a touch of class to every song; not surprising, as they always commit themselves to every song they ever write. A great album.
