‘Icky Thump’ (the single) is the triumphant return of probably the industry’s most genuine and thriving duo ‘The White Stripes’. We’ve always wanted to know what a cross between ‘Seven Nation Army’ and ‘Doorbell’ would sound like and after ‘Icky Thump’ we all know what it sounds like, and guess what it’s out-of-this-world. If the album is anything like this taster it’s sure to become epic.

‘Icky Thump’ has within it the potential of becoming a rock anthem, like ‘Seven Nation Army’; well it has all the ingredients anyway. A sizzling guitar riff and a great drumbeat come together to make possibly the record of the year. Meg and Jack can sleep safe now that they know they’ve lived up to the high expectations set for them by the music loving public.
