The ‘Bat Out of Hell’ rocker has admitted that occasionally uses the search engine to discover what people are saying about him in a bid to stop lies.

He admitted: “I Google myself every once in a while, like when someone tells me about an article that upsets me. The world should be more about truth than it is.”

Meat Loaf – whose real name is Marvin Lee Aday – believes modern-day celebrities have a difficult life because of the amount of attention they receive.

The star said: “It’s not easy being Brad Pitt, or Britney Spears. People think it’s an easy road, but be careful what you wish for.”

The 62-year-old star also admitted he would love to see ‘School of Rock’ star Jack Black play him in a movie of his life.

He said: “Jack understands me and has my energy and sense of humour.”
