Remastered versions of the band’s entire back catalogue to be released in September.

The Smiths will release a huge box set this September that will feature every single recording that the band has ever released, including their four studio albums as well as live albums that were recorded throughout the 1980’s.

The Smiths former guitarist Johnny Marr digitally remastered the original tapes along with the help of mastering engineer Frank Arkwrigh. Marr has made these reissues as his first major undertaking after leaving The Cribs in January and speaking of the release had this to say: "I'm very happy that the remastered versions of The Smiths albums are finally coming out. I wanted to get them sounding right and remove any processing so that they now sound as they did when they were originally made. I'm pleased with the results."

The box set called ‘The Smiths Complete’ will come out in three different versions. The CD boxset priced at £34.99 and a vinyl boxset priced at £149.99.

There will also be a super-deluxe edition called the Deluxe Collectors Boxset, which will be limited to 3000 copies. This version will feature all eight albums on CD as well as 25 7” singles, a DVD of all their music videos, a poster of their album and single cover art, eight 12-inch prints of all their albums cover art, an eight page book of notes and a code to digitally downloaded the entire collection.

The CD and vinyl boxset will be released on 26th September while the Deluxe Collectors boxset will be released on 3rd October. The reissues can be pre-ordered at the band’s label’s website, Rhino.
