Sleep well Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan
Jimmy Sullivan The passing of Avenged Sevenfold's drummer, nicknamed "The Rev" was announced in the early hours of this morning on the bands website. He was said to have passed away at his home in Southern California.
The band paid tribute to their beloved band member by saying "Jimmy was not only one of the world's best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy's family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time."
"Jimmy you are forever in our hearts, We love you."
Jimmy was also the backup vocalist and founding member of the band who's gothic-punk offerings brought them acclaim when they were voted best new artist at the 2006 MTV Music Video Awards.
The Orange County Coroners Office is now said to be investigating the death.
