INXS Plan New Album With Guest Singers
INXS It's not clear what this means for JD Fortune, the Canadian guy who became INXS frontman via a reality TV show. Despite seemingly fitting in with the veteran Aussie rockers, Fortune claimed in an interview earlier this year that he'd been dumped as frontman during a conversation with his bandmates at Hong Kong airport. But the band's reps denied any knowledge of that conversation and said that they had assumed - until that point - he'd work with the band again in the future.
The fact guest singers are being brought in for the next INXS album would suggest that Fortune is out - either he always was or his remarks earlier this year resulting in his axing. That said, a spokesman for the band wouldn't confirm or deny that the reality show winner would or would not still have an involvement in the INXS franchise.
A statement on the matter is expected soonish though, along with details of what other vocalists will appear on the new long player.
