Marilyn Manson is so obsessed with his favourite TV show he has started dressing like the lead character.

The 41-year-old rocker is a huge fan of HBO series Eastbound and Down, which stars Danny McBride. Danny plays Kenny Powers, a former professional baseball player who returns to his hometown school as a substitute teacher when his sports career ends.

The show’s director David Gordon Green says Marilyn has contacted him to praise the show, and revealed the goth rocker has taken his obsession to a new level by starting to dress like Kenny, complete with a mullet wig.

"Yeah, Marilyn Manson, he's f**king obsessed with the show," David told the current issue of Interview magazine. "He goes so far as to dress up like Kenny."

Film director Adam Bhala Lough, who is working with Marilyn on upcoming movie Splatter Sisters, has also noticed the star’s growing obsession. He joked that Danny McBride should be “scared” because Marilyn wants to kidnap him.

"I think David's actually frightened for Danny," Adam said. "Because Manson wants to kidnap Danny on some King of Comedy sh*t. Danny should be scared.

"Whenever I see Manson, he's repeating entire chunks of dialogue and dressed like Kenny. He just walks around dressed like this and f**ks with people on the street.

“He's even dressed like this when I'm at his house watching Béatrice Dalle films and Hoarders.”
