The ‘Foo Fighters’ frontman admits his bandmates would probably disagree with the nickname he is often given because he is not afraid to show his anger.

Asked about being decribed as the ‘nicest man in rock’, he said: “It’s funny to be because the guys in my band would probably tell you otherwise. Certain things make my claws come out and turn me from trademark ‘nicest guy in rock’ to a f***ing very different person. Because I do have borders and boundaries.

“There’s certain things where I’m like, ‘Man, don’t even f***ing go there.’ “

However the former Nirvana rocker – who is also the drummer with supergroup Them Crooked Vultures, alongside Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones – thinks there are advantages to his reputation.

He explained: “You know what it means? It means when I walk into The Crobar in London there’s six people right there ready to buy me a shot of Jagermeister. You think I have a problem with that? F**k no. It’s cool.”
