Biffy Clyro frontman Simon Neil has revealed he thought he had broken his leg after he jumped off a speaker at Glastonbury.

The ‘Mountains’ rocker – who performed at the festival in Somerset, England last month – claims he landed awkwardly after doing the stage stunt and thought he had really “f****d up” his legs.

He told NME magazine: “We were having a great gig at Glastonbury and I just tried to jump as high as I could and I didn't think about landing. My upper body just went ‘whooooof’ and my knees just both twisted.

"I got up and walked two steps and then I was like, 'Boys, help, I can't walk'. So the ligaments in the back of my leg got all twisted and I thought I'd really f****d them up. But a few days later it wasn't too bad. I was just trying to be a bit too rock 'n' roll."

The Scottish hitmaker – who took to the stage at this weekend’s T In The Park festival last night (11.07.10) with the other members of the band James and Ben Johnston – explained he was most baffled when someone produced a bag of frozen peas in an attempt to alleviate the pain. He told NME: “The weirdest thing was someone managed to find a bag of frozen peas. I don't know why somebody had a bag of frozen peas at Glastonbury."
